The Owner

My name is Shamaya Oberlton also known in the industry as Bella, I am the sole owner of Rock N Rolls fast food restaurant,  I started Rock N Rolls at the age of 26. Outside of working full time in my business, I am a new mommy of 2 young babies of my own and a foster mom to 2 teenage boys. I am a Temple Alumni, a Real Estate Investor and Advocate for Cancer patients. I enjoy pouring into my community by providing job opportunities for ex-cons who are looking to turn their lives around. I donate regularly to homeless shelters housing Woman and Children. I find passion in such things because in some light I have had personal experiences with cancer, incarceration, foster care and homelessness during my own life journey. I like to think that I’m here to feed people and make the world a little better !!!!

About Rock N Rolls

I like to think of Rock N Rolls as the pioneers of the savory & Sweet egg rolls. I began on this journey 6 years ago initially for the sole purpose of selling dinners from my home kitchen to be able to afford my mother’s Chemo-therapy treatments as she underwent treatment for pancreatic cancer. The idea of using the traditional Asian style egg rolls and correlating various types of  American cuisines into crispy hand crafted and delicious egg rolls came about when me and my mother noticed customers showed a large interest in our seafood egg rolls which was a family recipe that we sold along with the dinner platters to raise money. Once we noticed the interest, we spent our chemo sessions together brainstorming and  creating different egg roll recipes and then formed Rock N Rolls. If you would have told me  years ago that my love for egg rolls would have grown into the successful business it is today, I would not have been able to phantom it.

My mother transitioned just 2 months before my grand opening and did not get to experience the birth of Rock N Rolls. In honor of my mother Elvita Williams Rock N Rolls adopts a family affected by cancer each year and donate Christmas gifts and holiday dinners.
